The title of the presentation is: Unmanned Cargo Aircraft; from anywhere to everywhere
Hans Heerkens, chairman of the Platform Unmanned Cargo Aircraft. and assistant professor at the University of Twente (Netherlands), does consultancy work on the aviation industry and decision making for the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and others. His focus is on the interplay between technological, economic and management issues.
Short abstract of his presentation
Unmanned Cargo Aircraft (UCA) exist only as prototypes today, but they are likely to become one of the most prolific applications of civil UAV’s. UCA have many advantages over manned aircraft. Savings on crew salaries are the most obvious, but others, like increased operational flexibility and the possibility of profitable operations on routes that are too thin for manned aircraft, are potentially far more important. Hans Heerkens, chairman of the Platform Unmanned Cargo Aircraft, will address the benefits and challenges in the development of UCA, and identify possibilities for both manufacturers and users for entering new and promising markets.
He will speak at TUSExpo on 3 February 2016 in the afternoon. For more information about TUSExpo, go to http://www.tusexpo.com.
