This flight was part of a logistic demonstration in collaboration with Leonardo and Poste Italiane, the Italian postal service provider.
The eVTOL cargo drone FB3 with 100kg payload capability has been in commercial operation since 2020, when FlyingBasket received the first operational authorization to perform complex logistic missions in sparsely populated areas. Having accumulated ample experience as a drone operator across several European countries, FlyingBasket was distinctively the reliable choice for this pilot project.

Skyports receives first-in-EU Light UAS Operator Certificate (LUC) to allow for BVLOS from the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA), enabling self-authorisation of UAS drone flights.
Skyports, the world-leading operator of cargo drone deliveries and advanced air mobility (AAM) infrastructure, has obtained a Light UAS Operator Certificate from the Irish Aviation Authority, permitting the self-authorisation of Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone flights. This is the first such certificate issued by an EU regulator.

Matternet, logistics company Skygo and Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) will set up a city-wide drone delivery network for the rapid transport of medical goods in Abu Dhabi. The network will significantly increase the connectivity of the Emirate’s health ecosystem and position it as a global leader in advanced air mobility.
To bring its services to Abu Dhabi, Matternet has partnered with SkyGo, a UAE company with in-depth knowledge of the Abu Dhabi healthcare landscape and expertise in logistics and distribution in the Gulf region.

Drone Delivery Canada successfully completes first test flight in United States
Drone Delivery Canada ‘DDC or the Company’ , is pleased to report the Company completed a series of successful test flights during the week of March 5th, 2018 in the United States of America at the Griffiss International Airport located in Rome, New York.
“Testing at Griffiss was a natural extension for continued progress with our platform in a BVLOS non-segregated airspace environment. An active runway with large aircraft, helicopters, and general aviation aircraft is the latest advancement to our operations team airspace integration efforts and a progression from the knowledge learned during DDC’s Moosonee operations, which remain ongoing.
