Matternet, logistics company Skygo and Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) will set up a city-wide drone delivery network for the rapid transport of medical goods in Abu Dhabi. The network will significantly increase the connectivity of the Emirate’s health ecosystem and position it as a global leader in advanced air mobility.
To bring its services to Abu Dhabi, Matternet has partnered with SkyGo, a UAE company with in-depth knowledge of the Abu Dhabi healthcare landscape and expertise in logistics and distribution in the Gulf region.

Swiss company Matternet starts test medical drone delivery in North Carolina
Matternet, a Swiss company, began a three-year test programme of its delivery drones under a program run by the N.C. Department of Transportation and authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration. The North Carolina program is one of 10 the FAA chose nationwide to try to determine how drones, or unmanned aircraft systems, can be put to commercial use in the United States. Matternet joined the Platform for Unmanned Cargo Aircraft (PUCA), a European working group set up in 2011 with the aim of facilitating the definition of requirements for, and the development of, the next generation of Unmanned Cargo Aircraft, and letting its members play a meaningful and profitable role in this development.
